Martin’s Creek Falls
Martin’s Creek Falls is a 2-mile out and back hike that leads you to this amazing waterfall! Overall, it is an easy hike, except the final decent to the falls, which is steep, but not too difficult.
This is one of many beautiful hikes right around us! It’s about a 15 minute drive from the wedding property. Be sure to add it to your list during your stay!
The Beauty Spot: Unaka Mountain
Beauty Spot is probably one of the most appropriately named locations on the Appalachian Trail. It’s known for its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Tennessee and North Carolina mountains. Located on the Appalachian Trail in Unicoi county, the trailhead to Beauty Spot is one of the most accessible lookouts in northeast Tennessee, just a 40 minute drive from the venue.
Blue Ridge Paddling
For the more adventurous travelers, visiting Blue Ridge Paddling just 15 minutes away for some white water rafting or kayaking fun is a must-do!!
Pisgah National Forest
Just four miles nearby, you can enjoy some magical hiking trails crossing the state line to North Carolina in Pisgah National Forest. The Pisgah National Forest is a land of mile-high peaks, cascading waterfalls, and heavily forested slopes. Comprised of over 500,000 acres, the Pisgah is primarily a hardwood forest with whitewater rivers, waterfalls and hundreds of miles of trails.
Still Branch Falls
This is an easy, short family-friendly hike with many beautiful spots to stop at along the way. One mile out and back from the venue, the best time to visit is after a rain shower. The walk terminates at a water play area at the base of a 20 foot waterfall in the Cherokee National Forest.
Biltmore Estate
The famous Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC offers many activities including dining, wine tasting at the winery, garden tours, hiking, grounds exploration, and even croquette. Just a 50 minute drive from the venue.
